Abstract
The purpose of the present study was to design web screens in order to warn side effects of over-the-counter drugs, and compare participants' attentions using their eye-movement, among three conditions: two types of graphical warnings (photo and illustration) vs a non-graphical warning. Our results showed that people who observed a warning using a photo paid more attention to information regarding drugs than people who observed a non-graphical warning. In conclusion, our findings indicate that using the graphical warning may be a useful method for over-the-counter drug shopping website.
