Abstract

This paper describes a design guideline for Value Growth Design focusing on features of materials. Value Growth Design is a design concept which allows artifact to grow in its practical and spiritual value. In addition, this design is expected to increase artifact’s robustness, safeness and sustainability. Thus, we establish the design guideline which shows 3 viewpoints: elements needed for artifacts in usage to grow in value, factors to realize the elements and material properties to be noted.
