Abstract
Abstract : Artifacts do not evolve while design and design strategy do. From double inheritance theory via memetics to evolutionary economics, various theories constructed by the means of universal darwinism are introduced. What drives artifacts to change form throughout time is the group of genetic, hierarchically higher dominant mechanisms. Considering Lamarckian form of feedback loop as active and conscious,  Darwinistic feedback loop reveals larger scale ecosystems where stronger, more stable design strategies consume our resources, namely ourselves.
