Abstract
The PTB orthosis can hold the whole weight
of a lower leg, and, in addition, the patient can use their hands freely. Those
advantages for patients make it popular. However, the current PTB orthosis is
known that it does not provide fully comfortable walking. In this study we
compared walking with a PTB orthosis with normal walking in 10m gait analysis
and obtained electromyogram and subjective evaluation to be figured out the
causes. Then we proposed a revised PTB orthosis and conducted a comparison
experiment. The results showed that the proposed model is superior to the
current model.
