Abstract
Furniture fall down is one of the damage factor in earthquake disaster. Especially a tall furniture such as cupboard and bookshelf fall easily and it leads to a death case. In this report, a shelf with support pole by compressed Sugi with elasticity was supposed and produced for making furniture showing vibration reduction. Vibration reduction was carried out to confirm the effect in prevented vibration. A vibration frequency almost same with earthquake in examination. As a result, different with another shelf, the shelf which we made was confirmed the effectiveness in vibration reduction.
