Abstract
The heritage analysis of Geringsing has been obtained from the production process, its function and usage to the community, and design characteristic which symbolize the local spirituality. The author has revealed that to the people, both the textile-work and pattern design is mediating the community with their endogenous concept of balance over God-man-nature (Tri Hita Karana) based on the local symbol of protection and harmony (Tapak Dara). Moreover the construction of the community’s cultural identity that based on said concepts are also revealed to be appeared as the local rules, customs, and symbols which get recognized through the cycle of ritual activity.
