Abstract
Located within Izumi-district in Chiba Prefecture, Wakaba area is a land blessed with nature, where agriculture and forestry as a feature of the region are considered to have made up most of the living. Under the “Izumi Green Village Initiative” plan, Chiba city has been made principal in the region along with a number of administrative efforts been made ever since. Due to the aging population combined with declining birthdate, appointing the next generation leaders for such activity is challenging. Based on the endogenous development theory, the living in the area will be reviewed, along with the finding of its ‘treasure’ where it is believed will lead to the regional revitalization.
