Abstract
As a practice of haptic design, this paper describes that "Multiple Ridge Line Effect" which enables tactile information design using active touch, and concept of "Ridge Line User Interface Type 2" which is its application.

"Multiple Ridge Line Effect" is an effect that can emphasize tactile in active touch when the object to be touched is composed by two ridge lines with different line shapes.

By applying that effect to the user interface, "Ridge Line User Interface Type2" can receive transitions of output values as haptic feedback with a simple mechanism.
