Abstract
Design processes are often understood by dividing and classifying them, but they must be complicated beyond such simplification. This paper proposes our approach to depict complex process of workshops in a structural manner. The depictive method we propose consists of two types of notations: one shows the entire process as a sequence of activity units and the other represents relationships of key elements in the process. We make eight workshop processes to be depicted using the method, which yield some significant results about structure of design process through analysis.
