Abstract
In Southern Chiba Prefecture, there are many historical wood sculptures such as Buddhist statues and sculptures of temples and shrines. However, the historical sculptures are deteriorating and being latent due to the absence of managers. This project makes efforts in designing products by utilizing 3D data scanning from the historical sculptures and then exhibiting them in order to evaluate the effects through questionnaire. In conclusion, it is useful to produce products utilizing 3D modeling technology as a method of actualizing historic sculptures.
