Development of Paint Application in which Musical Scale and Sound Pressure correspond to Hue and Line Width

Abstract

Early childhood music education has a positive influence on children's brain development. We paid attention to painting in early childhood play, and developed a painting application incorporating musical elements. This application analyzes sound to draw a picture which changes hue and line width. This content was originally developed as an application of computer version. Next, we fed back the result of user test and ported it to the tablet version as an interface for children to play freely. In addition, we developed an improved version that can express intermediate colors.
