Abstract

There are many wonderful traditional crafts in Japan. I can say that traditional craft is the regional personality who used the materials that existed in the land and was receiving things for generations. I thought that I had to make more people know about their existence. Therefore, we report experiments to rediscover the charm of new lacquer using techniques of lacquerware and washi which is one of the traditional crafts of Fukui prefecture.
