Abstract
The results of this study showed that because of the hot and humid climate of Taiwan, online vendors have emphasized characteristics of material and the heat regulating ability and air permeability in all types of spring mattresses. In addition, depending on the prices of the spring mattresses, the content of introduction differed as following: (1) the content of introduction for affordable spring mattresses contained mainly the characteristics of material and the heat regulating ability and air permeability. (2) For mid-priced spring mattresses sold on e-commerce platforms, in addition to heat regulation, air permeability and characteristics of material, the introduction of product emphasized on uniformity of load distribution (supportiveness). (3) For high-priced spring-beds, on the other hand, stress was laid on the characteristics of its pocket springs.
