Abstract
In this paper we discuss about the activity report of the “OTO NO IE” play activity proposed and implemented by student volunteers of the School of Design, Sapporo City University, as part of the “OTO NO TABI 2018” Winter Music Festival held at the Sapporo Art Park Art Hall on March 3, 2018. As children grow they are able to combine the variety of information obtained from the five senses and can recognize the relevant conditions. At this university’s booth, two vinyl domes colors, shapes, sounds, and materials. One dome was devised so as to encourage play activities which used the whole body to run and to bounce. Another dome was devised so as to encourage play activities in which one sits quietly and enjoys slowly. In addition, both domes were devised so as to encourage the desire to engage in play repeatedly.
