Design requirement definition of infusion pumps without power supply for home healthcare

Abstract

A medical field survey was conducted under cooperation of doctors at Kawasaki Rinko General Hospital because infusion stands might be limit the patient’s freedom of movement. The survey was targeted patients, healthcare professionals, home healthcare officials and using user observation. The results were analyzed and extracted design requirements for the development of easy-to-carry(portability), easy-to-use(usability), power-free(no power supply), non-hanging infusion pumps.
