Through a questionnaire survey targeting traditional craft associations and producers in the 7 prefectures of Kyushu, the purpose is to grasp the status of efforts to solve social issues and to examine the relationship with the basic attributes and management status of production areas. The author found that producers that are calling on employees to promote the active participation of women as an initiative to solve social issues are related to positive factors such as flat or increasing ordinary income. Efforts to resolve social issues may be effective for the issue of survival of traditional craft production areas.
