This paper aimed to propose a texture for products using the aging process of rust on weathering steel. A method to partially control the progression of rust was investigated to meet the needs of various products. Two methods were tried to slow down the rusting : one was to apply a water-repellent finish and the other was to create an oxide film by heating. As a result, the progression of rust in the water-repellent part and the oxide film part could be slowed down. On the other hand the progress of rust was confirmed to accelerated using accelerator. This result was applied to propose a texture that utilizes the change of rust over time, and showed the possibility of applying it to products.
