The kelp processor we were asked to have had problems with the packaging design. We attributed this to the inability of processors to verbalize the value of kelp. To solve this problem, the authors first tried to know the value of kelp itself.
We went to Samani and Akkeshi, where kelp fishing is carried out, and experienced kelp fishing. We learned the whole life of kelp from getting familiar with the life world of kelp fishing.
In this article, we will outline the method of this social practice type design research and the learning and discoveries that the authors and businesses have learned through the practice of this method.
