Even though social isolation during pregnancy and child-rearing is a serious issue, the environment for giving birth and raising children has not been fully developed in Japan. Up to now there have been only a few studies that have examined the development of a co-creation system focusing on midwives, and using service design thinking. In this study, we conducted interviews and field surveys on related parties regarding the isolation of families before and after childbirth, and examined the need for a co-creation system. And it was shown that the involvement of midwives or non-medical specialists as persons with a neutral background to play a key role in a co-creation system. We also showed that service design thinking should be effective in creating a co-creation system and also showed there are issues related to organizational management and financing.
