Abstract

In this study, we created a hands-on booth for both visually impaired and sighted children to enjoy. Our purpose is to express movements of marine life that visually impaired children may have difficulties in imagining through acoustic image. We made a story about the deep sea so that both of them can experience under the same conditions. We created a sound that represents marine life. By adjusting the timing and volume using a flat speaker, the movements of six types of marine life was expressed as sound image.
