Proposal for Guide Maps based on Impression Evaluations at the Zoo

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to propose several guide maps based on visitors' impression evaluation at Kanazawa Zoo. We used the "Feelings Thermometer" web application to evaluate the impressions of the experience, and then analyzed the trends in visitors' impressions. As a result, there was little difference in impressions depending on the route of visitation. However, we found that impressions may differ depending on whether the same creature is seen first or last. Based on the results of this study, we created four personas and proposed four types of maps.
