The objective of this research is to explore two methods of creating prototypes from 3D printing for use in Shippo-yaki, a type of cloisonné that utilizes substrates made from electric casting, known as Denchu Shippo. The first method is to output the prototype as a master mold using a 3D printer, then conduct an electro-conductive treatment for electric casting. The second is to 3D print a substrate with a three-dimensional shape and then perform an electro-conductive treatment for electric casting. Both methods were confirmed to have a certain level of effectiveness. Additionally, it was confirmed that electric casting is possible by applying an electro-conductive treatment to the 3D printed prototypes using a can spray type of conductive paint.
