Abstract

“Dagashi-ya” has been a popular place for children to buy “Dagashi” and toys. But the number of “Dagashi-ya” has been declining due to management difficulties. “Dagashi-ya” will eventually disappear. In this study, the author produced a pop-up book to preserve the events at the “Dagashi-ya.” Pop-up books stimulate five senses and can be read without feeling awkward even if they contain a variety information. It was suggested that they are suitable for recoding and playing people's lives while carrying out various activities.
