Abstract

In this study, I traveled and stayed in Hakodate, Aomori, Bibai, and Takikawa, and produced a little press, "Machimachi," reflecting the things, people, and places I encountered there, as well as my own inclusive experiences. The images of what I experienced on my travels and during my experiences are expressed through photographs of objects and texts of events, as well as collages that combine the magazine with receipts, tickets, and other materials from my travels. The production of "Machimachi" during the trip turned out to be an activity that enabled me to visually express not only the "things" I found but also the "things" that were invisible to my eyes by combining photographs, texts, collages, and receipts, and to convey to my future self an experience that was unique to that time and place.
