The purpose of this study is to elucidate methodologies for career design that reconsider the meaning of work. It emphasizes designing not only the personal meaning one finds in work but also its market value simultaneously. The research question is what processes are effective in designing the meaning of work. My hypothesis is that combining narrative career counseling and innovation of meaning in design is effective. This hypothesis was tested by creating a prototype of a career design program and examining the factors of success in forming the meaning of work. As a result, multiple success factors in designing the meaning of work were demonstrated.
