Abstract

This paper examines the backgrounds of three Chinese students, Gao Xishun, Wang Zhiying, and Chu Zhizhong, based on the enrollment records in the annual ' Tokyo Higher School of Arts and Crafts.' All three graduated from 'Beiping Art School,' the predecessor of the Central Academy of Fine Arts, and subsequently jointly established the private Gin Hua Collage ofFine Arts-Peking China before pursuing further studies in Japan. Upon their return, they resumed 'Beiping Art School,' but their careers were significantly influenced by the political environment of the time. The educational practices of the three individuals diverged considerably upon their return.
