Abstract

Legislation related to universal tourism has begun. 40% of people have given up on traveling due to age or disability. Nearly 75% of wheelchair users have given up traveling. This study demonstrates travel aids that are suitable for a variety of people, including people with disabilities that make travel difficult. Specifically, we investigated outdoor wheelchairs suitable for activities such as highland play from the user's perspective. The caregiver was indicated as needing the power assist feature. Subjects indicated that challenges included difficulty transferring from their regular wheelchairs and adjusting the seat position.
