Abstract

Conventional human-centered design has focused on maximizing benefits for people in the present. For sustainable design from a long-term perspective, the future generation centered design approach is needed. This study explores the methodology of future-generation-centered design. Practice based reseach was conducted in the Minami-Nagahama Project of Nagahama City, Shiga Prefecture. This study explored the methodology of future-generation-centered design while utilizing the concepts of persona, inclusive wealth, and ecosystem map.
