Abstract

This paper examines the role of video (designing video or designing with video) in design methodologies that contribute to solving social issues. As a case study, the author explores the area in which the public sector provides resident services, particularly the role of public audiovisual libraries, which have changed in response to social conditions. In light of the fact that media studies and design studies have become increasingly focused on the keywords “with/for people” in recent years, this research examines the intersection of visual media and design activities, making use of the concepts of media practices and co-design.
