Abstract

This study is about the creation and utilization of a new mascot character for after-school daycare service.

After-school daycare services are after-school facilities for elementary, junior high, and high school students with disabilities. Due to the children's disabilities, communication between teachers and children has been stressful.

Therefore, a new mascot character was created and used as a "puppet". When used at the facility, the puppets were found to be highly effective in stimulating communication between children and adding fun.
