Abstract

This presentation explores the evolution of photo appreciation methods, culminating in “Photographic Literature,” through the lens of the inherent relationship between subject and photographer. It highlights how photo appreciation serves as a tool for self-analysis and emphasizes the roles of memory and record-keeping. With the ubiquity of smartphone cameras, photography has become a pivotal means of expression, capturing the photographer’s life and perspective. The future prospects of developing simple, replicable appreciation methods and applying reminiscent appreciation to media are also discussed.
