Abstract
In 2025, a pedestrian bridge will be built over the Nihonbashigawa River in Chiyoda Ward, Tokyo. A social experiment was conducted in the Otemachi district to provide reference for the design and planning of the plazas in front of the pedestrian bridge. This paper aims to understand the attributes and activities of users at “BATON PARK-KAWABATA- RYOKUDO-” in 2022.In the social experiment, a plaza space was created with temporary furniture between the benches, but in the future, the plaza can also utilize temporary furniture and be designed to be suitable for both weekdays and holidays.
