Abstract
Photography typically involves two distinct roles: photographer and subject. This creates an asymmetric relationship where the subject is placed in a passive position, experiencing the process of “being photographed.” This study aims to alter this asymmetric relationship to produce a new photographic experience. We designed and prototyped the “Frame Camera,” intending to transform the existing asymmetric relationship into a symmetric one, allowing both participants to simultaneously photograph and be photographed by each other.
