Abstract
Practical furniture was developed during wartime in other countries, and research on its actual state is relatively advanced, but in Japan, research in this field is limited, and it has been an unstarted research subject for many years. This report is about the measurement of paulownia chests of drawers conducted to clarify the standards for the “official furniture price collection” promulgated by the Wartime Price Control Order. The survey was conducted three times, on August 1, 20, and September 13, 2024, at the Miyazaki Wood Industry Kyoto Factory in Fushimi Ward, Kyoto City.
