Abstract
This presentation explores a practice-led research project aiming to document and rediscover the appeal of remote islands in Kyushu through tourism film production. Focusing on Himeshima and Yoron, it examines how such films can reveal and reconstruct local narratives. Students occasionally join the research process, engaging with landscape and community to explore learning and perspectives. The study reflects on these practices and considers future directions for research and regional collaboration.
