Abstract
The purpose of this study is to find new indicators for evaluating pedestrian bridges. We analyzed the relationship between the road spatial elements and the pedestrian bridges in Osaka City. Furthermore, we investigated the transition of buildings around a pedestrian bridge in Tondabayashi City, Osaka Prefecture. As a result of analysis, we developed an equation to predict jaywalking. The survey revealed that the number of houses around pedestrian bridges is increasing. We concluded that it is possible to evaluate pedestrian bridges by combining the jaywalking prediction with building transitions.
