Abstract
The purpose of this study is to clarify the pedestrian movement patterns in order to plan safe and comfortable spaces. The survey using video on the street central Osaka city. It was found that people behave in a way that avoids oncoming people based on the density of people and the distance between people. Simulations were carried out to compare and evaluate changes in sidewalk width, speed range, and number of people ratio. It was found that the ease of traffic changes depending on the sidewalk width in terms of speed range.
