Abstract
Calligraphy tends to be evaluated solely on the basis of the finished brush strokes, but the movements and thought processes behind them are also important in the creative process. In this study, we focus on the differences in brushstroke trajectories, body movements, and eye movements during the production stages of calligraphy and creative writing, and use motion capture and an eye camera to acquire and visualize the data. By comparing novice and expert calligraphers, we will clarify the differences in judgment and attention, and ultimately explore the possibility of using the data as a reflective tool for self-reflection.
