Abstract
This study aims to create a cushion with an optimized Young's modulus distribution using an FDM-type 3D printer. First, a seating simulation of the human body is conducted to obtain the pressure distribution on the seat surface. Next, topology optimization is performed based on the pressure distribution to determine the optimal density distribution of the cushion, which is then designed using a gyroid structure. Finally, a cushion is fabricated using a 3D printer based on the design results, and its comfort is evaluated.
