Abstract
Design of a symposium requires that the panelists engage in full dialogue and that the dialogue be shared with the audience. This paper describes the design of a symposium held on October 30, 2024, at Gakugei no Mori Hall in Tokyo Gakugei University, entitled “The World of Hiroshi Kagakui and Tokyo Gakugei University” Among the technology that have grown amidst the spread of Covid-19 infections is the web camera. This symposium was a “Roundtable discussion-style symposium” in which panelists and coordinators surrounded the Roundtable with a 360-degree webcam at its center, use web meeting system. The camera can constantly track the speaker, making it possible to project the panelists' facial expressions and gestures in real time. By bringing the technology of online meetings into a realistic symposium, that get better dialogue.
