Abstract

Disaster Resistant Bicycles suffered a loss of riding comfort due to tires that were designed to counteract punctures. As a means of improving this situation, I focused on the vibration characteristics of the handlebars. In an initial experiment, handlebars of three typical shapes were vibrated with an impulse hammer to evaluate their vibration characteristics. As a result, it was found that changes in the shape of the handlebar affected the vibration characteristics.
