Abstract

This study investigated the effects of color, shape and fragrance on the impression of nails. An experiment was conducted with 20 participants to select the color that best matched each fragrance, analyzing the harmony between color and fragrance. In addition, nail tips with square, round, and pointed shapes were fabricated, and an evaluation experiment was conducted. Factor analysis revealed that color and shape influenced the impression of "beautiful vs. cute," while fragrance influenced the impression of "relaxed vs. lively." The results from the usage of scented nails confirmed that fragrance had a mood-lifting effect.
