Abstract

In recent years, the number of foreigners in Japan has increased, and with the rise in disaster frequency, ensuring their safety through disaster prevention measures has become crucial. While multilingual measures exist, they often fall short due to differing disaster perceptions across countries. This study uses visualization techniques to identify gaps in disaster images held by foreigners in Japan, aiming to inform the development of effective, culturally-sensitive disaster prevention tools for them.
