Abstract

This study examined the impact of media (PC and VR) and perspective (first-person and third-person) on players' emotional responses and game enjoyment, using a roller coaster game. A 2x2 experimental design was adopted to investigate how VR and PC environments, along with different perspectives, influenced players' positive emotions and enjoyment. The results revealed that the VR environment significantly enhanced players' positive emotional responses and enjoyment, while perspective had minimal impact. This study provides valuable insights into how immersive environments like VR affect emotional engagement and game appeal.
