Abstract

In this study, we propose a system that reproduces a wide-area urban model in a virtual environment and visualizes disaster information, such as flood inundation areas, in layers. While conventional two-dimensional data makes it difficult to represent three-dimensional spatial information, 3D urban models provide a more intuitive representation but require advanced computing resources. We developed a system that integrates Google Photorealistic 3D Tiles and PLATEAU data from the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport, and Tourism, using a game engine and a 3D geographic data platform. Additionally, we implemented a 3D display with a spatial reproduction display and an intuitive interface using a gamepad.
