Abstract

This paper examines LARP (Live Action Role-Playing) as a meaning-generating process in speculative design. Unlike researcher-led approaches, this study directly engaged participants in collaborative scenario design. Seven participants co-designed a scenario on "digital brain inheritance in 2080," followed by live gameplay and debriefing. Analysis revealed distinct forms of meaning generation across three phases: conceptual understanding in design, experiential and affective understanding in practice, and insight articulation in debriefing.
