Abstract

Ideas generated in problem-solving workshops must be creative and meet the specific requirements and constraints of the context. However, existing workshop design methods often rely on general rules of thumb, and there is limited research on approaches that consider individual circumstances. This study introduces a structured and repeatable method for designing workshops that encourage ideas both meeting the situational requirements and exhibiting high creativity. The method is demonstrated in a case study of a workshop conducted in collaboration with Ninnaji Temple in Kyoto.
