Abstract
From the acoustic angle, suitability of materials for electric guiter were examined. Physical characteristics as Young's modulus, energy loss of vibration, density and distribution of spectrum were investigated through the flipped sounds with and without strings stretched above some kinds of square plates. On the other hand, the suitable sounds for the guiter were examined by sensory evaluation. Further, according to multiple regression analysis, the relation between the results of the evaluation and the physical characteristics were obtained. The relation were compared with two representative standard for selection instrument materials, and then the availability of the relation was proved.
