This study has clarified the relation between in-house design department and outsourcing, and was carried out for two Korean and seventeen Japanese electronics companies. Firstly, items of human resource strategy of in-house design department were gathered by hearing from the general manager of design department. Then, 31 items about human resource strategy were brought from this hearing. As a result of the analysis, human resource strategy was visualized by using of two axes: "Producer-Creator" and "Organized-Personalized". Secondly, items of the purpose and the role of the outsourcing were gathered. Then, 24 items about outsourcing were brought from hearing. As a result of the analysis, the purpose and the role of the outsourcing was also visualized by using of two axes: "Talent-Output" and "Routine-R&D". And finally, four indexes were brought from the relationship between two structures, which seem to be able to become one index for predicting a future in-house design management.
