Abstract

This paper aims to clarify the characteristics of Environmental Direction. I compared 705 events in EXPO '05 with EXPO in the past and considered it. 9 items and 28 categories for 705 events in EXPO '05 underwent Event Factor using a Principal Component Analysis. We are able to lead three factors "Event Subject" "Event Composition" "Event Management" and These Event Factors were related to the device. Event Space property was made clear that is directed from interaction between player and visitor moving variably the temporary devices by One-way ANOVA to approach Event Factor. We understood that these temporary devices in EXPO '05 directed an alley and a plaza space are made the best of use. Event Space was changing a theate by these variable or removable temporary device that accept it in a place and time. It means that the characteristics of Environmental Direction were "Mobility" "Transferability" of the device in the events of EXPO '05.
